[ gpsdrive ] 2 Km shift when used as non-root user

Hi !

I have just finished installing the gpsdrive v2.09 software. I am using it 
with a NAVILOCK 

USB GPS-RECEIVER Navilock NL-302U
under opensuse Linux v 0.2 64 Bit AMD CPU.

when i start as root i get my correct geographical position
but  when I start gpsdrive as a non-root user with access to UUCP my geo 
position is systematically shifted ~2Km south.

after  several trials I can't find any Hint

any idea what the problem is ?
