Hi,

i just starting the structural cleanup for the debian packages involved with
gpsdrive.

The Old package "gpsdrive-data-map-icons" will no longer be needed. Or to be
more precise. This package needs to be deleted in order to be replaces by the
new osm-map-icons.

Here the short overview about the debian packages at
http://www.gpsdrive.de/debian/pool/main/:

gpsdrive_2.10svn15113908_i386.deb:
this is the main GpsDrive Package.it holds the gpsdrive binary
and all dependencies needed to run the program.

gpsdrive-data-maps_1511_all.deb
This package holds the Satelite maps which are used to
get a broad overview when starting gpsdrive. They are not necessarily
needed. But the help finding your way around until you have other
	data-sources/maps installed.

osm-data-map-icons_3905_all.deb
This package holds the icons used to display "Point of Interrests".
The source of these icons is at
	    svn.openstreetmap.org/applications/share/map-icons.
an overview about the existing icons can be found at:
		http://www.gpsdrive.de/development/map-icons/overview.shtml

osm-data-mapnik_070801_all.deb
This package has currently about 115M (increading about 10%/week)
This package contains the complete dataset from www.openstreetmap.org
in a directly usable form for mapnik which is the current vector rendering
engine for gpsdrive. So if you like to use vectordata with gpsdrive. This is
	the package to install.

The following packages are a copy of the current mapnik rendering library. If
you want to use vector-data with gpsdrive you'll have to install these
packages too.
python-mapnik_0.4.0-1_i386.deb
mapnik-plugins_0.4.0-1_i386.deb
mapnik-utils_0.4.0-1_i386.deb
