You are welcome to help! (In fact my daughter creates some icons I only answer 
questions here. ;-) ) The format you should use is "svg". This can be scaled 
and therefore we are more flexible. A good idea would be to use inkscape 
which is open source as well. (http://www.inkscape.org/download/)
