[ gpsdrive ] Using a .osm file in Gpsdrive

Hello all,

I couldn't find something complete and understandable about importing
a .osm file in Gpsdrive. 

My problem is : I downloaded a file of the location that interest me
from a link I got on openstreetmap.org , and I would like to use it in
Gpsdrive as my base map. Is it possible, and if yes, could you describe
to me a step by step way to deal with this ?
