[ gpsdrive ] Car problem

Hi to all of you,
I have to admit right away that I am not a frequent Linux User but for
GPSdrive I make an exception: I have installed Xebian (xbox version of
Debian) on my Xbox and also Gpsdrive and use it in my car. Now i have
several questions/problems I would like to hear your opinion about:
1. As you can see here:

is pretty small and therefore I can not read all the information (like
distance etc). My Question for this is if there is any way to change
that?
2. You probably already saw it in the picture, the maps i have are
pretty "undetailed" now and in my car I do not have an Internet
connection which i could use to download other maps. I looked up the
Info page about this on the wiki and I am very sorry for my cognitive
misconception but i just do not understand how this works I would love
to have probably whole europe map downloaded onto the xbox once and
then never have to download any other map again. Is there anyway to
make this possible?
