[ gpsdrive ] NaN for lat, long, distance to Selected on trying to enter a waypoint

I have a brand new installation. I have entered one waypoint
sucessfully. When I go to another place about 1300 km away, I have
reasonable figures on the display. When I hit x to enter a new
waypoint, I get NaN for lat and long of the waypoint (but on the main
display they remain correct). I also get NaN as the distance to the
first waypoint for the To: SELECTED value. Also, the square blue
position indicator and round green wayoint indicator are both in the
upper left hand corner of the main map display.
