I checked-out the svn version over the weekend, so I should be up-to-date.

configure admits there's a problem:

Mapnik
------------------------------------------------------------------
checking for Mapnik lib support... no
libmapnik_linkable: no
------------------------------------------------------------------
checking for Mapnik inclusion... no

(I missed that first time round..)

However a google for libmapnik gets me loads of debian files - not so 
great in Mandriva ;)

I can't find a link to the source for this?
