Not really :-(

Here are just some random guesses:
	- you are using the most recent osm2pgsql?
	- the last "svn up" returned without errors?
	- and compiled it on you machine?
	- you do have enough memory?
	- Downloading the planet file worked without errors?

If nothing of the above helps, could you plese use gdb to get more information 
and send this to the dev at osm list or to artem-pavlenko and john-burges
