any chance of putting together a rough prototype on a local webserver then sending the list the URL to view?

even if illustrator as a tool isn't a FOSS favorite, people with a good artistic eye are rare and that skill transfers to other software well.


personally, I am more interested in good content and speed over flashy graphics, and find things like Drupal often too blog-like. (which isn't always appropriate for a project site not a blog) but I'd always be happy to see what good ideas talented people can come up with.

good looks and brains[/functionality] are not mutually exclusive, there is no reason the website can't have both... we don't have to sacrifice one for the other.
