[ gpsdrive ] Newer version of GPSDrive

Hello list.

I tried updating to 2.10pre4 via SLES repository.
But i run into some problems.

1. I cant seem to get my USB GPS reciever to work. (Did work before with 2.9)
I can see in /var/log/messages that it is found and givet the ttyUSB0 device

2. Cant seem to find any setting for choosing what kind of GPS reciever i 
have. That was present in 2.9

3. I try to set up SQL but the script returns all kinds of missing PERL 
modules. One being the Utils/Debug.pm

I have tried installing Meta::Utils::Debug (via perl -MCPAN -e shell - install 
Meta::but it took forever and also installed several other packages.
Several of the installs failed, one even caught  a infinite loop trying to 
compile. (Cant say which one tho..)

So the question is.. What the ... am i doing wrong?
