Not yet, I'm just putting a laptop together (never had one b4),
got the antenna, installed gpsdrive. I just spent a few minutes
on simulation and that's as far as I got this first time out.
I couldn't get a signal indoors by the window. I'll be testing
it for real sometime next month.

I'll be back later with Q's like what's a gpx file inside out :-)

Just a newbie at this stuff I already have questions like

When will we be able to feed gpsdrive digital compass data (0-359)
to have it turn the map always slewed to north (or to wherever the
user wants to slew to)?

Much like GPL route data is being gathered would it be a good
idea to research the possibility of gathering/pooling aerial
imagery? I'm thinking along the lines of square seconds as
one possible mosaic basis. This implies an enormous number
of tiles (eventually) but hey, why start with limits like
youknowwho once did? Ideally such imagery (and let's push
it while we can, even on a typical seasonal basis down to the
averege week of the year with 5 inches of snow or dry cacti)
would be the toggled background for any superimposed data.
In addition tio toggling on/off it should even be possib;e
to ghost/unghost it to highlight the other data.
