^^ I did not mean to imply that GDAL will decrypt encoded BSB charts.
It won't!

I read somewhere that cm93 format is S57 compliant?? If so gdal's OGR
could read it and so there will be a pathway into gpsdrive.
try 'gdalinfo' or 'ogrinfo' on the files to see if they can read it.
As far as I can recall the official gov't UK raster charts came in
useless-for-us encrypted form. No idea about what's common for the Med.
