[ gpsdrive ] automatic download of OpenStreetmap *pixel maps*?

using prerendered tiles should be the best way on the openmoko platform, 
because I think live rendering with mapnik will be to slow, but there should 
be enough space for the images on the card.
maybe in the future a kind of update-tool would be cool, that only downloads 
tiles that have changed since the last update.

but we will need some kind of database - the mapnik postgis or something 
else - someday, to have live routing...
