yes, you're right. but it's good to have someone who knows the openmoko
platform and may help us to optimize things... :-)
one other thing that comes to my mind:
I guess the memory footprint of gpsdrive could also be an issue on an embedded
platform?
currently the memory handling is far away from being the optimum, because for
compatibility with some older functions, a lot of stuff is kept more than
once in memory.

yes, there is also compiled a version of qemu in this environment.
I already tried this some month ago, but it didn't really work.
at the startup screen the progress bar stopped at about 70%.
