Hi,

OK I had a look at mapnik.cpp and found this line :

datasource_cache::instance()->register_datasources("/usr/lib/mapnik/input/");

Now I had installed gpsdrive in the default location /usr/local/.....

Creating a symbolic link from /usr/local/lib/mapnik/input/ to
/usr/lib/mapnik/input/
and then running gpsdrive now gives me the coastline as well as the POI's.

Still no roads though :-(
