Can I use GPS Drive as a library in my C project?

I see that it mainly operates as a stand alone program.

I just need to open up some GPS maps and based on my gps data to display the
point on the map of my location.

I'm working on an embedded system (ARM) (Linux) so would really need some
sort of a .lib file or the Include files from this to make it work.

I'm working based on Microwindows so that is my GUI.

Can I do that ? If so then what are the files I would need.


Also does the 2.10 version pre4 has the ability to load Basic OSM Vector
maps ?
