OK, Please explain how I would do this and where would I get this patch.
Also what "Config" setup should I have in order to Cross_Compile GPSdrive
for an ARM architecture.

There was a patch some time ago which (as what I understand) enabled other
GTK
applications to use gpsdrive inside a container ...

You can use OSM-Vector data via the standard mapnik-postgis-database. Or you
could change osm.xml accordingly to support shapefiles and then let the
mapnik-plugin render from a file.
