A raw command for renewing the POT file (after applying attached 
patch to remove two gone filenames from the list) is:

  xgettext --files-from=po/POTFILES.in --keyword=_ --keyword=N_  &&
  mv  messages.po  po/gpsdrive.pot

How to formalize that into a Cmake file is beyond me.

By the way, all the *.gmo files can be removed from SVN, as they are 
generated files.
