do you have mapnik installed?
Yes, libmapnik0.5

have you installed the postgis extensions for postgresql and filled the
database with the script mapnik-osm-updater.sh?
I have installed postgis and postgresql-8.3-postgis.

Where is mapnik-osm-updater.sh? How do I run it?

Thanks.
