I'll give it a go, and send it to you.
I have just repeated this process on my eeePC running eeeBuntu (a customised
Ubuntu 8.04) on an SDHC card. I thought I would be able to do it without
installing openstreetmap-mapnik-world-boundareis, but I found I needed this
otherwise I would get the following:
Read 577 POI-Types from geoinfo.db
got exception ...
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::ios_base::failure'
what(): failed opening file: Bad file descriptor
