Should be an option (-g) to control the geometry (size) of the map area
of the window. This only controls the size of the MAP. So you'll want
it smaller than your screen res to also see all the buttons surrounding
the map.
gpsdrive -g 600x400
or it might be
gpsdrive --g 600x400
