garble was removed some time ago.
maybe the advantage was, that it wrote the files directly for gpsdrive, but I
don't really know that. There have been a lot of changes in gpsdrive's
handling of route, track, and waypoint data in the last time, including gpx
import. So I would use gpsbabel for getting data from a garmin, but as I
don't own such a device, I never tried this.
