[ gpsdrive ] It doesn't work

Good - now leave gpsd running, don't just use it the check things :)

GPSdrive no longer talks directly to the serial port - it requires gpsd to be 
running before you start GPSdrive, and it then binds to the local socket to 
get GPS info.
