[ gpsdrive ] GPSDrive with Mapnik and OSM: claims "No map available for this position"

I did a fresh install (and was on the same time writing up a howto for
Gentoo).

I get the correct position with Expedia maps but in Mapnik mode it will not
render and shows that text. No other error messages.

The Mapnik test script successfully renders a map for this location.
