Greeting everyone,

After doing a fresh install of Fedora 8, I'm now trying to get GpsDrive
working. I managed to find an old version of this same question, yet
not able to get it working. I have the Earthmate Yellow USB puck...

http://lists.gpsdrivers.org/pipermail/gpsdrive/2007-March/000012.html

Of this link, I tried to locate where GpsDrive was installed, but either
I can't find it and rename the gpsd that is there. I also did a search
for gpsd and only find one. I installed gps-clients - took the script
from the other site and did the steps needed for it. I've rebooted the
computer and have tried setting the prefs to /dev/ttyUSB0, checked and
unchecked the Earthmate checkbox and doesn't work.

When GpsDrive isn't running and unpluggin/plugging in the Earthmate,
doing a cat /dev/ttyUSB0 shows that it's showing the data that should be
there, but when I start up GpsDrive, it starts showing garble...don't
know if it should or not.

Was hoping to get it going tonight for the trip this weekend, but oh
well...not a biggie.

Thanks, Michael
