[ gpsdrive ] Race track map

The data is gpsd format, similar to but not NMEA (enough so that gpsbabel
can't handle it).
I'm just interested in my car's position (so I can look at split times,
etc), not other cars.
What would be a good program to run that just has as a background a basic
map, and then overlays the position on top? I don't want a full-blown
navigation system, somthing more like can be seen on the video at
http://www.trackvision.net/

but with a background image/map.
