[ gpsdrive ] installation under mac osx 10.4 (intel)

newcomer / basic installation problem -->

i'm using fink to download/install version 2.09-1.0.16. it's been a bumpy process, with a lot of "download failed" and subsequent prompt to choose another mirror. still, it all went ok until i got to gpsdrive-2.09.tar.gz, which could not be downloaded from any mirror. i had to stop the installation as i ran out of options. any other way to install gpsdrive on a mac?
