Thanks for the link. But it has to be http not https!

I won't get to this until tomorrow, if I am lucky. But I will report 
back. I have similar sorts of instructions on how to create map tiles 
for maemo-mapper but it does not load properly.

At least, when you start playing do-it-yourself mechanic with software, 
you don't end up with scraped knuckles and oil under your fingernails!
