Looks good! thanks.
Minor issue- compass should be left/right centered not left-justified,
and very very minor it seems there are a few more pixels of space above
the dashboard numbers now than below. I would guess to add a few more
below so it wasn't so crowded.

I like it a lot, but then I am spending a bit of time creating and
managing tiles, and like to know "where I am" in that regard.
If we move to 256x256 tiles obviously it will be less useful except
for debugging purposes.

Please no separate operational windows. Try the "GPSMan" debian package
to understand why... If you like a on/off tickbox in the preferences, ok.
But then you get into the drag & drop icon bar components like in Qt
(I'm thinking of QGIS here).

I just mean numbers drawn directly on the canvas, without widget frames.
I'll try and mock up what I mean in GIMP.
