if an export to proper gpx is not possible, garmin has to be told about that.
maybe gpsbabel can do the conversion, I don't know.
it is not the goal of gpsdrive to provide a full featured gis solution.
I'm not willing to code exceptions for peculiarities of other software
vendors. today it is garmin, tomorrow hundreds of others...
