[ gpsdrive ] Clear Track Button

Hi All,

Just been looking at the latest svn download and noticed that there is now a Clear button.

What does this do exactly?

Reason I'm asking is I had been trying to implement a track restart button. ie push the button and the current track file is saved and closed and then a new track file is started.

Secondly, had also been looking for information on acting on the TERM signal from the operating system.  ie on shutdown (whether from user or power signal etc) gpsdrive receives a signal from the os that a shutdown is about to happen.  Gpsdrive should then save and close the current track file and anything else that needs to be saved and then close itself.  Anyone know how this should be implemented or can point me in the direction of some info.
