I was looking at a separate button and possibly a configuration setting to enable or it could just be a configuration setting that is setup to save the current track data to file when the clear button is pressed.

Would also like to see it on the main window when in GUI_CAR mode as this is when it's needed and not having to select mapcontrol then clear.
