Hi,

I am looking to update the man page, as some of the info is out of date
or wrong. (mailing list, bug tracker, ...)

For the bit about what to do with your own maps..

>From my understanding the logic is- the program only looks at one
map_koord.txt file. You can change where it goes but typically it
will be ~/.gpsdrive/maps/map_koord.txt. If map_koord.txt does not exist
then the base one with top_GPSWORLD etc will be copied from
/usr/share/gpsdrive/. The /usr/share/ file is only used to be copied
into ~/.gpsdrive/maps/ and is otherwise ignored.

If you have multiple mapsets in ~/.gpsdrive/maps/ like "foo_top/",
"bar_map/", and "baz_map/" subdirectories then each of those folders only
contain the images; those dirs do not get their own map_koord.txt file.
If there is one in there it is ignored.

Only the master ~/.gpsdrive/maps/map_koord.txt file is used, path names
to images in subfolders should be included within the image names there.
That file should also contain the default top_GPSWORLD.jpg etc., but full
path to /usr/share is not needed as it automatically looks there if it
can't find the map tile in the user's .gpsdrive/maps/ dir.

does that sound correct?

In the map control window, any objections to changing "no_dir" to
"base_maps" and "Shown map type" to "Included mapsets"? I think that
would be clearer.
