is gda3 realy needed for mapnik? i only found some gpsdrive/gda code
selecting streetnames and pois from db. anyways soon i will rewrite
the mapnik code to fully support the openstreetmap tiles and implement
a download function besides the internal rendering, so you can use
both sources. advantage you can keep the quite small database for
rendering on fast machines saving disk space, or you can use the
downloader system which will use more diskspace.
