[ gpsdrive ] Multiple road name at low zoom

Hi All,

Using mapnik is anyone else getting two copies of the same road name when
the scale is at 250m (on the scale bar).

It only occurs when the map is scaled from 500m down to the first time it
is 250m and not less then this.

One is smaller font than the other and directly beside each other.

How can I determine the mapnik osm.xml scale from that show on gpsdrive
scalebar?
