The old version of gpsdrive (you are using) used mysql as database. This
is no longer the case as gpsdrive now uses a sqlite database to store
the waypoints. Can you please try a newer version of gpsdrive?

I'm using here:
- - kismet 2008.05.1
- - gpsdrive Version 2.10pre7.svn
$Id: gpsdrive.c 2285 2009-01-16 09:33:53Z d_s_e $
and kismet works well
