[ gpsdrive ] Mapnik doesn't show a map

If you dont have any other PostgreSQL databases you could also just delete
its data directory (in /var somewhere) and set up the database from
beginning.
Used disk space does not grow if the map already is in the database.
Have you tried the Mapnik script generate_image.py as described in
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Mapnik#Rendering_tiles ?
Does it generate anything?
