this error results from gpsdrive not finding the mapnik plugins ( I guess 
mapnik is installed correctly?)

the path for the plugins is set in ~/.gpsdrive/gpsdriverc:

mapnik_input_path = /usr/lib/mapnik/0.5/input/

point it to the path of your mapnik installation, and the error should go 
away.
