After three days I have finally have got gpsdrive working with mapnik and osm data on Ubuntu 8.04<br>

I will write it all up as a howto shortly but first, a couple of questions.<br>

How can I change the colours used by/with mapnik. Currently the ocean is rendered as a lovely (i'm being sarcastic) shade of yellow/orange.<br>

All the rivers and creeks etc are shaded blue, road shading is correct.<br>

When trying to access the database for poi's it keeps giving an error. I've narrowed this down to the fact there is no column poi in the table planet_osm_points.<br>

What should have put this column into the database table? Is it something that needs to be run seperately when installing gpsdrive and/or mapnik?<br>

How can I access all my mysql poi's from previous gpsdrive installation? I have about 5000 in a mysql database that I was using previously with gpsdrive.<br>

</blockquote></div><br>I was about to post a similar question. I have now set up a postgresql/postgis database and fed it the Finnish map using osm2pgsql. GPSDrive does not seem to know to use Mapnik to render with data from the map.<br>
