We are in the same 'boat' ... pun intended. I question if we will get this new version up and ready for this boating season. We are following Hamish's instructions for the NOAA charts but its not there yet. I would much rather be working on integrating the AIS requirements which could be leveraged off the friends tracking server code somehow. I would favor a version for the nautical users only crowd. fdr<br>

</div>I had the same problem of sorts. Following this thread and notes I was able to<br>
get this latest version up and running. In order to do so, I had to load the<br>
openstreetmap world boundaries which is huge. Unfortunately I use gpsdrive<br>
only for marine charts on NA<br>

I was wondering, is it possible to separate out the mapnik dependencies for<br>
those of us who done use it and also for those like myself who would love to<br>
use it on an EEEPC. I suppose the options are present are to drop back to<br>
previous versions.<br>
